Hey gangsters, Bearing in mind old PUA community theory and advancements made by recent ladies men, what do you all think about buying women drinks? For example, I met a girl at a bar last night who was a lone wolf. She seemed rather receptive and even invited me to have a drink with her. Once I suggested that we go "dutch," she blew me out. I am saving money at the moment to buy sexier clothing so I can't be buying drinks for every girl that hooks. But, please tell me your opinion on the matter. |

Need more details. Did she say "sit and drink with me"? Or did she say "hey come buy me a drink"? If a girl I just met tells me to buy her a drink I don't do it. If I've been talking with her a bit and I've been escalating on her with success and she asks me to buy her a drink then I'll make her jump through a hoop before I buy it, but I'll usually buy it. Either I'll say "Ok but you get next round" or "What's the craziest thing you've ever done? If it's good I'll get you a drink". That way you can get her a drink but you're not in the role of "here's a drink, please spend time with me!" You never want to seem like your just spending money to hang out with her. If it's a case where I've been having sex with this girl on a regular basis and I asked her to come hang out with me at a bar I'll get her a drink or two through out the night, but I still let her but plenty of her own drinks. |

I def agree with this ^^^ If she just randomly waived you over and immediately told you to buy her a drink it seems to me she just wants free booze. In that case I'd say "tell you what, you get the first round and if we're having a fun conversation I'll get the second one" |

If you're an AFC who has no game, buying drinks for women will just hurt you even more. You won't get the girl and your wallet will be lighter. Not buying women drinks gives AFCs a small advantage in that it acts as a slight value boost if pulled off correctly. It can communicate that they aren't an alcohol charity like all the other schmucks they manipulate into buying their drinks. Also, when AFCs typically buy women drinks, they do it in a supplicatory manner and it just enforces the impression that they're AFCs. If you're actually charming and have game, NOT buying drinks for women can actually hurt you because you're breaking social etiquette and giving yourself an unnecessary obstacle. Sure, there's a chance that you might send a small message that she can take advantage of you if you do buy her a drink, but that can easily be calibrated back to your favor if you know what the hell you're doing. If you don't, there's just more damage control and/or frame control to do. Turns it into more of a high-wire act and that can suck. Regardless, buying a woman a drink should almost never be the first thing you do when you first meet a woman. And if its the first thing she asks from you, that should be an immediate red flag. |

Now that's a great answer.
