I'm interested in this girl but I used to date her close friend and now the best friend is giving issues saying "I don't want you guys being anything more than friends". How can I make this girl forget what her friend is saying and carry on with me?

It wasn't anything serious, it was just for 2 months we were interested in each other. This girl is really into me as her other friend says and I can tell that this girl doesn't want to listen to her and stop talking to me but she says she doesn't want any drama. Whats the best thing to do in this situation?
