Hi guys, Wasn't exactly sure where to put this so if its in the wrong spot please move it. Anyway, I've just got back from a holiday in Tenerife where I met this amazing girl, we really hit it off after a rocky start and we both seem really excited about meeting up with each other, however our schedules dictate that its probably going to be around 3-4 weeks until we can meet up. What I want to know is how I can maintain regular contact over this period of time, whilst still keeping the conversation fresh and exciting. Few points to consider; 1, we are communicating over Facebook as I had my phone stolen whilst on holiday so until that's replaced its Facebook message only. 2, she goes on holiday to Benidorm on the 25th for 3 nights and she actually asked me to go with her and her friend she was in Tenerife with. Unfortunately, previous arrangements meant I couldn't. 3, The reason for the rocky start was that we met on the Tuesday, I kiss/number closed and then on the Thursday she saw me out with another girl. On the Friday, I built bridges to repair the relationship (made maybe a slight mistake in that at the end of the night I went in for a kiss and she said no, I had to earn it) and she arranged to meet me on the Saturday too (we spent all night together ended up back at her hotel, didn't do anything just cuddling on her bed) and also before I left for home on Sunday she came to my hotel to see me and we spent a few hours chatting. Upon arriving home on Monday she had already messaged me on Facebook asking if I had a safe flight and that she couldn't wait for me to come up and visit. 4, Over the last 2 days we've made small talk but i'm worried now about how the conversation is going to progress in the future. |

I say don't talk too much. I mean, you left on a high note. Just text her again with enough lead time before the moment when you can meet and arrange something. If your previous experience was so good, I don't see why she would say no. No need to become pen pals. |

Yeah, agree with Bounce -- the odd check in is cool... Daily back and forth might be a little weird. You'll run out of shit to talk about. Are you trying to get a relationship out of this, or a fuck buddy? |

Hi thanks for the replies guys, So maybe try and reduce the amount of messages we send back and forth now and then, maybe drop her a message before she goes away wishing her a nice holiday and then when she gets back on the 28th, look to arrange a meet up for the following weekend or something? Yeah running out of things to say is what im worried about and then when we do finally meet up having nothing to talk about! Would prefer a relationship out of this but I've never done anything thats long distance, so it's more like just see how it goes over the next few months! |

My personal suggestion would be to give her space as well. You need to focus on you right now, if she sees you constantly reaching out to her she may view you as a AFC. With this being said, randomly send her humorous texts maybe about something that you discussed when you met. Just dont be over ambitious to get her attention. |

Female here. Don't overdo it. Bad messages can ruin attraction in the early stages. Texts like "hi how is your day going" make me almost throw up in my mouth. The safer bet is to message very little. If she is into you, trust me she will not forget about you. The guys I think about the most are the ones who aren't contacting me all the time. |

Thanks again, especially wilyone for the female insight, its really nice to get all your thoughts, i've begun slowing down the interaction we have and if I do send a message i'm putting alot of thought into it rather than firing off the first thing I think off, will be good to see how it goes over the next few weeks |
