Post subject:  When reframing backfires

I have read over and over again about how reframing is powerful. I've used it many times and I've found it to be great when the girl plays along with it. But sometimes they just flat out deny it.

E.g. Me: "Oh stop flirting with me"
Girl: "I'm not flirting with you."

In these situations I can still say "yeah sure..." and pretend I know that she secretly is flirting with me. And then call her out on it again after she says something that could be interpreted as her flirting with me.

But there are times when this is harder to do. Like in this situation:
Me after deliberately misinterpreting something as her being naughty: "Oh stop trying to corrupt my innocent mind you naughty girl"
Girl: "No I'm not that type of girl."

I could do the same thing as in the first example but in my example I find that the more I insist that she is a bad girl the more she insists that she's not. And I'm sure that if I keep pushing it, it would just end up being annoying and push her away.

So my question is this: What would be the best way to deal with these? To take a step back and stop reframing until more comfort and attraction has been built?

Serious, dry tone: "Stop flirting with me"

Funny, light and loving : "Ahh...stop flirting with me"

Notice the difference?

If she no matter what responds with "I'm not flirting" then you can be playful and cheeky about it and say "Oh, really? Your so nice"
