Post subject:  Innate kino ideation vs concious kino bullshit

I had a realisation recently whilst chatting with a girl, and seeing how I haven't seen this idea on here yet I thought I'd share it with you.

So we were talking and her shoulder was right there, and I thought I should reach out and touch her to add a little sexualisation to the next thing I say. Then I thought a bunch of bullshit about whether the environment etc and timing were appropriate.

Now, I've watched 5 hours of that good rsd shit before this event, and in that moment I had a mini realisation (whilst still holding an interesting conversation in Dutch), and it went like this:

The ideation of kino was not a high level thought. "Turn a screw clockwise to screw it in" is a high level thought. But in this case the idea of contact was primitive and subconscious, but was then claimed by a high level concious process and was then shot down by a second high level process which had deemed it potentially unsuccessful. Whilst this was happening, that same primitive urge was kind of ticking down how long I had before the moment was gone. And I realised, that primitive source was completely correct. Essentially infallible. Tuned by the generations. The clock ticked to 0 and another high level process was like 'ah, moment passed'.

And I thought, what a bunch of fucking bullshit. All this time all those little (let's call them) urges were probably correct, but clever me had been shooting them down out of fear, social conditioning, and residual damage from playground bullying.

So I said to myself, next one that comes I'm not even going to think about it at all, the instant I feel it, I'm just going to let it flow through and happen. About 30 seconds later, bam, flows right through, super effective. 4 minutes later I'm getting my dick sucked.

This is what Tyler calls trust in your faculties, and being in the moment and outside of your head.

What I found interesting is that not only do you come prepackaged with circuitry that detects when the right moment is, but also how long that window of opportunity might be. Don't miss them folks, your body naturally times kino perfectly, and you won't always get to miss opportunities.

Thanks Owen for getting me laid that day.

Interesting post. The emotional (limbic) brain has a headstart on the conscious mind of 300 milliseconds. That's how long you've got before it starts interfering.

I see this as the difference between learning how to improvise and actually getting on stage and spitting out an impromptu speech.

You train for it, you learn rules and trends, and that lays the framework and helps break awkward habits. And then when you're actually in the fray, yes, it's muscle memory, it's a subconscious impulse that has been honed more correctly by what you know about the situation and her.
