I work in a Regus office. It is a floor of a large office building that Regus leases and then sub-leases out individual offices to different companies. So there are probably about 50 different companies on my floor and we all use the shared kitchenette. I've been there about a month now and struck up conversations with 3 HBs. Its awesome and an unexpended perk of the job. One in particular is giving me great signs. She makes sure to talk to me every time we meet in the kitchenette or pass in the hall. Last week, I was walking down the hall with two other guys from my company and she made sure to pick me out and say something. I make sure to leave the conversation first every time. She's a HB 9 and I've seen other guys yap until she has to exit the conversation. Also, I'm 39 and she's probably 10-12 years younger. So, I think it is time to set up an out of the office setting meeting. I thought of using some after work get together with others to invite her out, but that feels a little weak to me. I'm thinking some sort of direct, but non threatening invite. I don't think I should wait much longer cause I think she will see that as unconfident. Suggestions? Thoughts? |

Pick a close spot. then when chatting, "Hey, I go go do this thing, but I'm going to ______bar across the street for a quick beer/drink, you are joining me!" Direct, Confidant, Polite. All the shit that makes the girls squeal! |

I can confirm the advice of Heywood Jablowme: something like "I'm going to ______ on day ____, you want to join me/us?" is usually a good approach. There is only one thing you should take care of: you can invite her to have a drink with yourself only, or invite her for having drinks with a couple of co-workers/friends. I think the second approach is more safe and if things go well, you can still ask her out for a one-on-one date. |
