There is this chick at my uni class. She is a pretty shy HB8. We've only chatted a little during class. I've worked some kino in, nothing to serious. She has expressed interest over email recently and today was really the first day we have chatted extensively.

Everything was awkward because she is really shy and it is hard to talk during a lecture. We chatted afterwards and I could only ask those damn boring, mundane questions. For example, where are you from? Her: Long Island...Oh, you're a long island girl...

This is lame and I felt lame. She was extremely receptive over email but she seems extremely shy and and nervous in person.

Any games or banter I could use to liven things up so we can have more of a free flowing conversation.

Meh, I don't know. I would say girlfriend...although I did F-Close her last night...thoughts on transitioning into relationship?

Smushed has good advice!
Don't give her straight answers, obviously you eventually have to, but just play around with her, show her you're not a serious guy and have a good sense of humor. Show her that if things were to get serious you wouldn't get boring to be around. Just get her completely comfortable and you'll see her true side, the playful conversations will just come naturally!

I was seriously always under the impression that F-Close meant fuck closed. In this situation, I had sexual intercourse with HB8. So I Sexual Intercoursed - Closed. Usually I am pretty good getting vibes off women but this chick is so hard to read. So, what I did was...I exchanged some light text banter -- she seemed more comfortable and lively texting and then I called her...had like a 5 minute conversation and asked her if she wanted to "watch a movie". She was all about it.

I picked her up, rented a movie, did SI-Closed. She slept over and told me she orgasmed twice...You would think I am golden, right? I texted her later that day and she wasn't giving me her normal jovial responses...

We had class today and she elected not to sit with me and instead sat with her friends...There were a couple other chicks in that class who like me. This greek HB9 was all over me in plain view of the HB8 I SI-Closed. It was only then she started texting me up again. So, a little jealously goes a long way I suppose.

Just thought I would update. Today, the OP delivered.

I am going to try to G-Close (Girlfriend -Close -- is that a thing). My plan is to call her up after my class tonight. Dinner tomorrow -- sleepover Friday. I've only ever had 1 GF before (I am 26) and have always "enjoyed" the single life...so I don't even know the steps in courting a girl in a girlfriend manner.

Respect. Your in college right? The rules have changed a lot since my days (I'm 42). As to your problem I think it rolls down to showing enough disinterest while still keeping her engaged. sort of "yeah we had sex, but I'm..."
It's not that you "don't" want her but she is keeping you at arms length so you are reciprocating her intentions. Now you say shes shy but you F-closed her with little effort, so she is really the sexy librarian type, all demure on the outside but a sexual beast on the inside (so how was she?). In that case don't STOP flirting with other HB's in front of her, that will drive her wild.

Unfortunately there may be a downside in that she doesn't want anyone who genuinely wants her...damaged goods.
