Hi guys! Tomorrow I'm going on a date with a girl I met at a bar a couple of weeks ago. We've been texting with eachother since, and two individual times we've come to the subject of her job. The first time she avoided answering and told me it didn't matter, the second she told me it's complicated and she'll tell me about it when we meet. Curious as I am, I only needed to scroll down a couple of times on her Facebook page to find out she works at a super market in the grocery department. Now this girl has class, which might explain it. We're talking fancy dresses and shiny shoes. She's extremely beautiful, and she knows it. My question is: How can I take advantage of the fact that she's clearly ashamed/embarrassed about her job? She likes to tease and she has confidence, but this might be my shot at getting close to her. Any ideas? |

Just don't talk about it. It's not a big deal. A job is just something you do, its not who you are. |

What's your job? If you have a good job then I would talk about that in order to DLV her indirectly. She'll look up to you for being more successful and lose confidence in herself. But it won't do you much good unless you have a better job. I remember when I used to have no car and work as a waiter. I kinda felt like a loser, but most of the girls I hit on worked as waitresses, hostesses, or bartenders, so they couldn't rightfully belittle me since they were doing the same thing basically. |

I'm a sergeant in the army, so I def. have an advantage there.I remember when I used to have no car and work as a waiter. I kinda felt like a loser, but most of the girls I hit on worked as waitresses, hostesses, or bartenders, so they couldn't rightfully belittle me since they were doing the same thing basically. The way I see it I can do 3 things: 1. Positive; tell her that I'm sure that's a great job, with loads of great friends and I bet it's a fun place to work 2. Neutral; tell her that hey, we all need to make money for that trip to Hawaii we're all dreaming of 3. Negative; when she tells me what shes does I'll go "it's alright if you don't wanna tell me what you do" making her mebarrassed (not sure if that's too much though) |

Personaly, i would never insult people who are working. I work whenever i can, because of the experience itself. I've been in construction, currently in IT and holding lessons on faculty. Still doing construction and renovation from time to time. Even though my hourly rate is more than 100% bigger in IT; but it gives me great stories. I also do it for the experience, since i'm studying management. I'd let her know that no job is shamefull. I'd also try to give her support in "Why don't you find different job if you are not satisfied with this one?" or point out the positive things in her job. maybe find something you two have in common to bitch about. "Look no job is to be ashamed of. but you know what i really hate? People who could work but they choose not to. Now that is somethings that i dont approve." or something along that line. Do it differently. If she hates her job, you will be shooting yourself in the knee by telling her her job sucks. Help her feel better. Just my 2c. |
