I know qualifiers, but I never seem to implement qualifying a girl during my interactions. |

Qualifying rocks. It's great not just talking to girls but in all interactions. You put a bit of friendly pressure on someone to tell you good things about themselves and they generally rise to it and tell you good stuff! I was out the other night and meeting new people and I asked the question e.g. for someone called Chloe "so what should I know about Chloe?" or "so what's your story?" This is not serious qualification like "what have you got going for you other than your looks?" but it might be a nice way for you to get started, just ask questions like these that imply subtlely that you hope to be impressed. It could be anything "so tell me three things..." or "when did you last..." but the key is in the tone of voice, there's a slight element of challenge there, a subtext which says "okay, let's hear what you've got". I personally think inviting people to qualify themselves should be a rule for all new people you meet, it's a far better frame than the general curiosity we approach people with: "so what do you do?" mild curiosity but let's face it, you may or may not care depending on the answer, by inviting someone to qualify themselves you make it clear that you hope and expect to hear an answer that you WILL care about! They pick up on this and make that much more effort with their answer and it may actually become an interesting conversation! |
