I am dead against canned stories, first of all its way too much effort. Second of all I believe learning how to be naturally attractive and naturally good at game and not relying on pre-scripted routines is the way to true mastery. You have to be good at thinking on your feet and reacting to the situation instead of relying on some story you read on the internet. |

The point is, not everyone IS naturally good at it, this teaches you how to tell a story, by practicing canned stories, the ability becomes natural. These stories are more like extended jokes, and good humor is the base for great PUA!

True not everyone is good at it but I think learning and memorising canned routines is harder than learning how to be good naturally. Memorising a five minute story seems a lot harder to me than learning how to build a connection and knowing how to use good banter, good body language and paralinguistics. |

Storytelling is a skill that can be naturally developed. Any body should be able to take an experience from their everyday life and tell it in an interesting and exciting way. That link seemed to be full of examples. It also had several pointers for planning individual stories. My only problem is transitioning into some story without prior prompting from the target. If a girl doesn't give me anything to work with: What can I do to start telling a story? |

Bane, I understand what you're saying. It's way better to run "natural game," and everyone eventually realizes that. However, realizing it isn't always enough. Storytelling, canned routines, etc. are always great to build one's confidence and inner game, and definitely have their place. It's not a bad thing to have examples to work off of, and as BLUU alludes to, you can become much better at it by using them to learn.

Some of you sound like Tom Brady saying something like, "Everyone should be able to throw touchdown passes in the NFL. You don't need training or coaching or anything, just do what comes natural." Yeah, right, we just pick up a ball and we're in the NFL. It's the same with natural game. You're trying to tell people to do something that is impossible to them. These are not people that had your experience. Their experience might be like a horror story compared to yours. If natural game is all that is needed then Style, Mystery, and Sinn are liars, but we know that they are not. We've used their techniques to great use. After many approaches we can learn to be more natural, but that takes time. The routines are training wheels, and while some very gifted children can jump on a bike and ride it the first time out of the gate, most of us had to use training wheels to get there. |
