I've been going to this grocery store for a while now, and one day, I saw this magnificent creature walk by me while I was talking to one of the guys that worked there. I quickly inquired about her...told him that she was hot and asked if she was single..He said that she was and would be happy to introduce me to her but I quickly declined because I was on my way out. ( the truth was that I don't like introductions and would rather walk up to her myself). Next time I went there, I saw those two smiling at each other when they saw me, but I just couldn't get myself to find the balls to go talk to her...my knees felt weak (which is rather unusual for me...but I guess there's something about her that I really like).
A lot of girls consider me fairly handsome and I'm very fit, so I can't say that I had no success or fear of the opposite gender...this time though the situation ensued. For 2 months I just couldn't get the cohones to go up and speak to her. every time I saw her I would just get nervous and chicken out.
About a week ago I finally decided that I've had enough, so when I saw her(she's not always around by the way), and despite of my nervousness, I went up to her and casually started talking to her. I started asking her about some trivial stuff about products and then I went on to ask her about herself. She showed interest and asked me plenty about myself also (we actually had some stuff in common since we are both into fitness and sports). I was really impressed by the things that this girl is involved in so after we shook hands I decided to not end the conversation and she offered no excuses to leave either. She even gave me the involuntary head tilt which I thought was really nice! I then proceeded to to suggest that we should meet out for coffee sometime(no concrete plans) and that we contacted each other . For some reason, probably out of nervousness, I said e-mail or something and she asked me if I had a card...I said no but that she can use my number so she wrote it down.
Like the idiot that I am, I left it at that and did not ask for hers so I greeted her and then we parted ways.That was last week. She never called. The majority of my female friends say they wouldnt call either.....(out of insecurity or because they expect the dude to make first move)
Fast forward to this week. I went in again with the intention to be more bold, talk to her, joke around, and ask her out (and of course the number). As I was pouring my coffee from the coffee stand I saw her back walking away. I'm not sure she saw me but I want to say that she must have. Granted, I ve seen those employees go in and out of the main floor all the time,including her, but if she was open to me talking to her again would she not go somewhere where I could run into her? Was she maybe trying to avoid me because I didn't ask for her number and thought I was a self absorbed no nutsack douche? Do I still have a chance if when I go back I grow a pair and express direct interest in getting to know her in a specific time and place?
Am I looking too much into this because I finally reeeeaaally like someone?
