Sometimes, I manage to make a really dynamic opening to a girl on her own or when she's with a bunch of people but then when the discussion is at its most intense it can be extremely hard to think of the right thing to say at the right time. So how do you guys think on the spot and not end up in long pauses? Do you buy yourself time, e.g., order a drink at the bar? Do you just relish in the pregnant pause and give out seductive eye contact? What? Cheers

Could you possibly define what you mean by most intense? Are you talking about the closing stage to try kiss her, or get her number? I always have a lot of personal funny stories in my head lined up so when things get stale on her end or mine i quickly switch to them. Or complement something on her, and invent a story that it reminds me of something... dont worry.. the stories needn't be true. There is a good book called Revelation which really put a lot of emphasis on conversation. |

Ah no, not necessarily. It would be more my style to rely mainly on body language at that stage anyway. I am talking about pregnant pauses and icebreakers. I mean, a dynamic opening is one thing but after that she is expecting you to show what you have - are you a one-line man or do you have something human to express?
