An old problem I know but my issue in this whole PUA scene is that directly after the opener I just don't know what to say next. Here some examples over the last couple of months: Sales assistant (HB7): Me: Hi - could you tell me how to get to the town centre? HB: Blah, blah... Me: Oh ok, which part of town are you from? HB: Blah, blah... Me: (Getting stuck now)...I'm Ash btw. HB: I'm so and so... ....and that's it! I've run out of things to say and politely bail out. Hot girl on a train (HB 8.5) reading a paper Me: Sorry, d'you know if this train stops at XXXX? HB: Um, yeah I think so. Me: Just realised, you look like my ex-gf's room mate. HB: Oh right... Me: I'm Ash btw... HB: I'm so and so... Me: You're not from London then? HB: No I'm from blah, blah... ...and again, my mind goes blank! As you can probably see I have no problem opening cute girls which on one hand feels like a great achievement cos it's better than a lot of guys would do. I've gone in indirect, I've gone in direct and told them that they're cute but neither amounts to anything cos I very quickly run out of things to say. Doesn't help cos I'm not the best story teller in the world either... I'm sure I'm not the only guy in this boat either. How the f*** do you over come this cos I really feel that this is holding me back! |

i used to have this problem but ive gotten a lot better. you gotta pay attention to what she says instead of worrying what you need to say next. notice something about her that you can compliment or something she does or says that you can tease her on. or whats going on around you. a lot of the times i can pick out things by observing other ppl and ill just make a statement about them. a lot of the times ill just say random shit. ive come to realize it really doesnt matter what you say |

Exactly. I am assuming you are new to this so you are always in your head thinking, which will make you miss alot of key topics she mentions that you can speak about. It is hard coming up with topics, but it comes with time and experience, practice small talk with non-targets. Elevator talk sucks but practice on people. Next time a SPAM calls you, game him/her lol. See if you can get him off his sales pitch. No magic cure.

I know what you mean, but if it's someone you've never met before there's a world of questions you can ask. You could: - Ask more questions on the same subject: "oh, i've never been there but would like to go one day, is it any good? what's the nightlife like?" etc Change the subject. Tell her why you're out, a funny story (with time constraint), ask her what time she's working til, if she's interested she'll ask you questions back. Then "I've got to go now but we should catchup sometime when you're not at work"... try to take her number. If it works well done, if she says no, it's not the end of the world..."it's been a pleasure talking to you, bye" [smile on face]. I'm always weary about trying to game people who are working. It seems like the time frames are short and it could all be interrupted at any point but it varies in different jobs i guess. Good luck bud |

Yo author of post, I know what you mean. I too get in that fix. But I'm working on routines that fit me. Like knowledge of cool information that pertains to them. For example, explaining human evolutionary psychology of why men want to fuck women who have good make-up work. I'm thinking of learning a cool magic trick or two. Then updating with a cool current event. The story with Steve Jobs is too popular (sux thou, RIP man), but I found that Eddie Murphy is hosting the Oscars. I would say that's interesting to a lot of people - an underdog; black dude, ex-hooker fucker, ex-druggy, hosting the O-S-C-A-R-S. Then maybe also learning how to do handwritting analysis. I feel the best way of SEDUCTION is to offer your target a "power-up", or "through me you will be better" angle What do you think? |

Something I like to do is tease them about their name. Her: Hi. My name is Amy. You: Oh so your name is Amy...I used to date a girl named Amy she was fucking insane. You aren't crazy are you? Her:No. You: You promise? (reach in for a pinky promise.transition into a game of thumb wars) ________________________ You: No way that's my name too!! Unfortunately my parents were both drunk when they signed my birth certificate. I think I'm a way better looking "Amy" than you are... ________________________ You: Do you like monkeys? Her: Yes/ umm...no You: You remind me of this girl from elementary school who would always run around acting like a monkey. we would make fun of her all the time. are you sure you aren't her? Her: Im sure. You: Its ok if you are... but I just want to say that I'm sorry for making fun of you all that time. Would you forgive me? (ask for a hug) _________________________ If you ask for their last name You: You wouldn't happen to be related to___. (some celebrity that has been in recent news. Mention something embarrassing they did)for example if her last name is sheen. ask her how her coke addiction is going. __________________________ Another tip: if the opportunity arises GET SEXUAL. So if you ask her if she is crazy and she says "maybe a little" ask her if she likes to tie up her boyfriends and spank them. LOL |

I think that those functional openers you mentioned are really hard to transition off of into conversation. You're taking a low risk-low reward approach. If you're stuck in a situation where you need a functional opener, and then find yourself with nowhere to go, then I would try following this with a second opener, maybe an opinion opener. In the case of the girl reading the paper, I can't image why you got stuck here: she was reading a f'ing newspaper. Does the train stop XXX? whatever she says So, do you see anything interesting in the news today? Just make sure you avoid getting into controversial areas and you're off and talking. |

Also, try and put out a relavant interesting story related to her answers of the 1 or 2 "indirect" questions you approach her with. You want to be the interesting entertainer; the guy that captivates her and make her associate the feeling of captivation with you as a person |
