When answering one of his fan questions, it was What is more important looks or personality, he said looks. I would say thats false.

Well. I and many PUAs are not agreeing with Mystery on that one. Women go more for the Alpha male personality than looks but guys go more for how a girl looks like. This doesn't meen that you should look like shit but be well groomed. One should not take everything totally for granted that a PUM talks about. I did the same misstake when I started out 1 year ago. If you only follow what you have been told you can't become a PUM yourself. All of the greatest PUAs have their own speciallity.

I'm sure he meant looks as including things like proper hygiene and being well put together. Without those things, your personality won't matter because she will be repulsed by the smell.
Hes right, Mystery didnt mean physical appearance

FTR, I think that was his attempt at a joke. Regardless, a comedian he is not.

I didn't feel his other advice was too good either. I don't think "Mystery's Mail Bag", or whatever it was, should be on the show

Mystery in his book says that being the socially proofed alpha male is what is most important, even more than looks. However Mystery is absolutely right. If there are 2 PUA's both with awesome game and awesome personalities gaming the same girl, the better looking one will always win.

Good grooming is what he meant, and in my experience if you are both well groomed then the PUA who is the most fun wins. There are a number of other factors at play though. If one is a dressed like a preppie and one is goth, and the girl is goth then ... well you know what I'm getting at.

Is that the one where he said "Heaven forbid someone should like you for your personality!"

I think he was joking, though his sarcasm was baaaarely there.

Hygiene is important though, but I don't think that's what he meant this time around.

Um.

No.

It was OBVIOUS sarcasm.

Yeah, it was pretty obviously sarcasm.

I've been thinking about the question though, and it gets a bit tricky depending on what level of depth you look at it and your perspective. I mean what is your body language to a woman? Is it looks or personality? How about good hygiene? I may be new to this, but one thing I've learned is women don't think about these things the same way we do.

If you listen to a lot of PUGs, good hygiene tells a woman you take care of yourself. That makes it a personality trait to her. Good body language shows her you're confident, not needy, secure, and more. It's all personality.

They use the visible signs to give them insight into your personality, and that's why even fat, low income, guys with bad comb-overs can still sometimes date hot chicks. Even negative signs are discounted sometimes if their life experience has men in it who have them, but their overall memory of them was positive. So, all those positives are transferred onto the person she is looking at. For example if she was daddy's little girl, and daddy was overweight with a bad comb-over then she would be less likely to see them as negatives.

I digressed from main topic a bit, but to me sometimes the rabbit hole goes deeper than it looks.
