| Post subject: | How to be a good listener |
I've got good single game, and have been in only 2 serious relationships. I always like to become a better person and keep moving forward in bettering my inner game so I come to you with this question- How does one become a good listener in the relationship? My girlfriend often stresses about stuff and tells me but I'm not sure I'm handling the situation in a proper way. So what makes the boyfriend a good listener? What can I say or do to raise her confidence when she is going through a stressful time? |

One way to make sure she knows you're actively listening is to hold her eye contact, and maybe make a physical connection at the same time, for instance holding her hand or rubbing her arm gently. Of course you also have to comment on what she's said. To give a girl what she really wants to hear in stressful times, most of the time it's mainly a case of saying, "It'll be okay" or, "Don't worry. Things will work out". Sometimes we just want plain assurance. If she can't settle with that try soothing over her stress with things like "I'll know you do it," and, "Even if things get that bad there's still whatever option open to you/it/her/him," and so on. A lot of the time I just want a hug and a small kiss too. |

I was going to say the same as Elle did before I even read her post. Hold her hand if your with her, it makes the person, especially female feel comfortable, and in a relationship, it's very important. Don't just say "yeh, yeh" when she speaks to you. |
