One of my main sex friends has labial herpes?

Post subject:  One of my main sex friends has labial herpes?
So a long-time sex friend of mine texted me and told me that she can't meet up this week because she has labial herpes, but wants to meet up next week and wants to give me unprotected oral?

She gives great oral and I have never been infected with anything from her before. I appreciate her letting me know she has this issue, but I'm hesitant to meet up with her to have unprotected sex. I'm alright with protected oral, but she hates sucking with a condom.

She told me that she took medicine for 3 days and that she has been cured? I assume she means treated for the outbreak...because there is no cure for herpes simplex right?

How about dont have sex with her any more and just be friends.

I don't think u can get herpes unless she's having an outbreak otherwise it remains dormant and you're pretty safe. That said read up on it, i knew a cool girl who had herpes real nice girl, beautiful too (shame she killed herself at her bf's).

I am not 100% but i think she needs to have blisters around her mouth or something active for it to spread.

I had herpes around my mouth before I kissed a girl. It's not that big of a deal anyway, you get it like once every 5 year or something and it last for 1-4 days.
