Holy fucking shit am I pissed! Woke up to a text from my girlfriends saying "Text me when you wake up" so I did, this conversation went down Her: I don't know how to say this Me: So you're ending it then Her: I'm sorry Me: Why? Her: I have feelings for someone else (this is when I stop replying while deleting all forms of contact) Her: Dan.. Her: Don't ignore me you're making me feel nervous Her: DAN Her: I feel so bad, April Fools I haven't spoken to her since, this happened about an hour ago. Am I over reacting or do I have a right to be pissed off with that? |

Full right to be pissed, you can make jokes but not like this. Maybe if you begged her to stay, she wouldnt say its a joke and really break up ?? |

Sounds like a bad april fools joke. I woke up a few mins ago and thought about doing the same to my gf but figured she'd KNOW since it's April fools its a joke. It's kinda obvious. You did well though because you didn't beg so if I were you I wouldn't act pissed. Her joke backfired and now she knows that you're not a begging bf and can walk away easily. |

Yeah, I think because I had just woken up it didn't really click what day it was! Still, she seems to be chasing me more than ever now so it worked out in the end, haha!

I would have simple sent her one more text saying "thats not something you joke about" and left it as that, for a while mate let her chance you let her think she has fucked up, and dont be ashamed of standing your ground it fucked you off you can show it but dont be played for a mug !!! i would treat it as if you have broken up and make her come running back mate she will at first you refuse she will get pissed off and angry u ignore then she will get kind and upset again then u can react

The thing that got me pissed was the whole "I have feelings for someone else" line, she knows I've been screwed over in a previous relationship by something like that actually happening so for me, that was taking it too far. That, and I didn't realise it was April Fools day!Anyway, after freezing her out for a while I told her why it pissed me off, she's been chasing me every since saying stuff like "I didn't realise how I felt about you until today, I love you so much" etc.. etc.. so its kinda worked out for the best, even if I may have slightly over reacted, I didn't show her I was THAT effected. |
