She's not a jealous person per se, and at first I thought she was very secure...though I think she's a bit more insecure than I orginally thought. Not much though.

Girls can ask this and get away with it because it supports a submissive type of frame, correct? And they just wanna see how guys will respond?

I don't ask her this back, btw.

And when she asks I playfully respond with "eh, a little :)" or something along those lines.

I'm thinking most GFs/wives ask this from time to time, just curious..

Thanks

She just want to see if you care from the sound of it, she could be shit testing you but if she does it on a regular basis shes prob just wants to be reassured, its ok to tease her from time to time with something like "No...no really Its nice to be alone for once" and then laugh! or a good answer is "yes I miss you but not as much as you miss me".

I would like to know what frame to keep here as well.

My girlfriend asked me on different occasions if "I was going to miss her". When she asks it rather playfully and I'll be seeing her in a couple of days anyway I reply either with sexual undertone (e.g. "you have no idea how I'm going to ravish you next time I see you") or with a very playful attitude ("I get to finish some work while you're gone").

On a serious occasion when she went away for over a week I replied along the lines of: "I'll be thinking of you, honey".

I would love to see someone very experienced shed some light on this.

Nothing wrong with saying you miss the person your dating. . . I don't understand the questions in this section sometimes. We aren't running indirect game on our GFs, pretty sure she knows your attracted. lol

Every girl is different. Some girls, I'd reply "Miss you too baby." Others, I'd reply "not at all." You know your girlfriend, why don't you know how to reply?
Exactly what Hobbit said.

People seem to think you run the same shit that you would 10 minutes into a meet in a relationship.

Good to see the H man still dishing out the same sound advice he always has.

I cant agree with hobbit, yes you do have to show affection but only when you mean it! why say "Yes I miss you" when you really don't you are just sending her the sign that you will say w.e she wants you to say....its like when a women says to you "I feel so fat" when she is a size zero, and the bf says "no babe your beautiful" and she continues to say it day after day so she can hear how amazing she is lol but if you just say "Im sorry you feel that way" she would never say it again!

The time to shower your gf with complements is not when she asks for them, but rather when she deserves them.

I will agree with hobbit that not all women are the same and we know nothing about your relationship! its hard to tell you when to say it but my rule of thumb has always been don't give her something just because she asks.

Don't say it when you don't mean it. The more she knows she has you the faster your relationship dies.

I try to only show my love when in person, never in texts, i truly believe texting is killing a lot of attraction over time. If i had the chance to reset my previous relationship i would not text at all but give her the gift of missing me and only some regular phone calls to meet-up.

Girls like to say shit like this all the time in texts but i wonder if they mean it when they type it or its just a form of habit. "I love you", "i miss you", "never wanna lose you". All this seem to be programmed into a girl head but at the end of the relationship i always regret responding to those texts because i look like a fool believing her shit.

My gf asks me this nearly every day, I just give her a different reply every time

'Yeah babe I'm crying into my pillow'
'Didn't even realise you were gone'
'I'll show you how much next time I see you ;-)'
'Don't make me laugh'

Etc etc, always seems to serve me well

If she needs this type of reassurance, then randomly drop her a text during the day saying "I just had tacos and it made me remember that time we had tacos on the seawall at the beach that day" or "I was craving a kiss, are you free?" or "IMY :)" don't overdo it, but random stuff like this will keep her thinking about you.
