Hello everybody,

I've only very recently got it into all of this, through (as you probably hear all the time) Strauss' 'The Game'. I've spent some time reading around the subject and getting to grips with the absolute basics. So I guess I'm what you guys would call an AFC suffering (to an extent) from oneitis.

I'm really serious about developing 'game' and simply having the confidence to talk to women when I'm out. To make this enterprise as succesful as possible it seems Strauss' second book, 'The Rules of the Game' is a good starting point to gradually build up confidence.

One of the things I've found most intersting about the community of PUAs is grasping an understanding from women. Most significantly, the fear of rejection is an irrational notion, since you are only (seemingly to her) trying to make conversation, so what is there to be rejected from? With that said, I'm not so sure it's the confidence and growing the balls to talk to random women that is the issue.

It feels as if (aside from Strauss' books) I don't know what I'm doing. Where do you recommend starting and what helped you when you began? I also have a friend who's interested in this, so would it be best to embark on this together?

Yes, a wingman is always advisable, but not such that you cannot game without him.

Great, I'll get him involved. I've found the free PDF you get for signing up here offers some good direction. Currently reading Mystery's handbook :D
