Post subject:  What to do in a foreign land...

Hi, this is my first post on the forums. I am relatively new to the community in that I have just recently started gaming but i have read up on theory on and off for the past couple of years now. I am in the army stationed in south korea (going to leave soon though) and am having trouble with what I can say to these korean girls. I have managed to pull off a few number closes and just had a day 2 but they have been pretty sloppy because of the language barrier. I don't speak korean and few koreans speak well enough english to have a conversation. Ultimately the conversations i have been having are very unintelligent and I am having difficulty building rapport with them because we can't really converse. Not to mention that most of them look at me confused, because they have no clue to what I am saying to them. I am curious as to what kinds of openers and conversational tactics you guys would use when talking to someone who doesn't speak your language very well.

I heard recently that communication is 55% body language, 38% tonality and 7% verbal. Body language is universal. I say push the action with your body language and tonality. Keep escalating and reading their body language. Once you get the green light, take em home and see what happens. Worst case is she realizes where you just took her and runs away.....

in the areas surrounding the army base, how do they take towards army guys? im in the aussie army and ive noticed that around major bases, there are girls who will do anything for army dick, girls who dont discriminate between army/civillian, and girls who hate us. if guys before you have earnt a bad reputation by treating the girls poorly, then some may hold it against you as well because they'll be able to spot you from a mile away.

agree with the post above and id also suggest learning a bit of korean, even a few phrases as you'll atleast get a laugh out of them as you mis pronounce words so long as you're keeping positive body language and fun tone.

Post subject:  LANGUAGE PROBLEM

Hi, to answer the question about language barrier, there are some things I do.
Starting from easy to hard.

-Go out with me and be my wing man.

-Get everyone drunk and go to a 노래방 ! This works well, but I don't like the music.

-Limit yourself to those who can speak English very well.

-Get friends who can translate for you. You can learn a lot this way.

-Buy an electronic dictionary (I have learned many words and phrases, it has 13 languages!)

-Learn Korean FAST! (I understand this sounds too easy, but just do it)

-Get married. ehhh
