Post subject:  Hey -looking for some advice

My name is Gavin, and I just stumbled onto this site and it's all been really helpful, but I'm still not sure how to introduce myself to this girl in my history class. It may sound like a case of "one-itis", i don't know, but i don't really care because I'm only 16 and not looking for tons of sex; I just want a girlfriend. Anyways, I only see this girl like right before history class for a minute and that's it.. I really don't know what to say to her other than "hi" and from there i have no idea what i would say, so just some advice would really help :D. btw i don't really think of myself as socially awkward or anything, i just have a little trouble keeping a conversation going with women.

CHeck it out bro... its not really about what you start out with (your opener) , its really about how you go from there to the next topic and so on... its about your FLOW. ... flow from one thing to another in order to hold a steady and satisfactory conversatoin going.

ask her about herself, tell her about yourself, find common interest... and talk about all that..

if you have any more questions hit me back

so basically i would just say something like "hi i'm Gavin, what's your name" and go from there asking her about herself? -I ask because it just sounds awkward to have someone come up and start asking you about yourself you know what i mean?

Ask open ended questions. If you get stuck, repeat the last words they said with a question tone on it. Try it on your buddies first if you have any doubts, but it's a human reaction that once they hear the last word, they take it as an invite to keep talking. Hope this helps. Let me know any feedback bud.

just repeat whatever it is that they said last? I also need some help on how to approach without coming off as awkward. just walking up, and saying "hi" doesn't seem very good and i don't want to use one of those "can i get your opinion?" openers... in other words, i just need a reason for why im walking up and saying hi other than the obvious that i like her  -maybe im being too picky about it..

Hey Fraz, it's actually more simple than you think, when you finish class, just approach her, and comment on the class, ending with a question, or make a question right after you get a response to the first statement. But a generic question works best
like "Excuse me, do you know when is the next assignment for?"

Or anything about the class, just think of something you would ask a random person about the class that you might need to know.
Just remember to be chill as if you it were a random guy in the class that you were asking, and be genuinely interested in the question and not in the person.

Continue the conversation ... when you are 30-60 seconds talking just say "Oh by the way, my name is X, what's yours?" Once you get the name, it's done, next time you see her it would be super easy to just call her by name right when you see her, anywhere!

Hope that helps, and let us know ;)
