Hi everyone, I've been reading information on PU since last summer and I even applied some of the stuff I learnt to start hanging out with this HB8 I had met at work/school. It started great but things didn't work out and I had a long AFC relationship with this girl. I knew what it had become a couple months ago and last month I knew the "end" was coming between us so I decided to do something to put the final nail in the coffin. I went full on AFC and invited her to do some stuff on Valentine's Day, made fun plans, got her flowers. I wanted this to be engrained in my mind. I wanted it to be a situation that punched me in the face and let me know I need to stop acting like an AFC if I want to be with the women I want to be with. Like clockwork we had an explosive conversation where she told me that the chemistry was all gone between us and she knew I was a nice guy and wanted to end up with a guy like me..blah blah blah. Like I said, I saw this coming and prepared. I laughed my ass off afterwards because it was so predictable. So now I'm single and in my senior year at college. I'm 24 (Went into the USMC after high school) and I'm sick of the women I attract. My first two gfs were pathetic "Please love me, I'll do anything" type girls. Just constantly putting themselves down. The first thing I did was start getting fit. I've been working out a lot and I'm shaped up considerably over the past 9 months. I detoured with this latest girl but I think I've got my mind right. My first FR: Today I went to a local church with the intent of socializing. I just wanted to talk to people and put myself out there. No PU, not that there was any HBs there anyway. I then went to my school library to meet with a partner. I saw this HB8 sitting in the lobby area and I locked eye contact with her as soon as I saw her. I walked up. Me: Hi! HB: Hi! Me: How are you doing? HB: Good, you? Me: Good, I'd be a lot better if I could find my partner HB: *giggle* (I begin to call my partner) Me: Where you at? Phone: On the side with the windows. Me: All the sides have windows... (better directions follow, I hang up) Me: The guy says the side with the windows. HB: *laugh* That really narrows it down! I walk away and meet up with my partner but I want to go get this girls number so I go to walk up. I immediately get AA (she can't se me) I got get some water, slap myself in the face, and go back to her. This time I kneel down and get eye level. Me: Well I found my partner but you're still here. Who you waiting on. HB: I'm (blah blah blah) Me: Hi, I'm Jay. (Give out hand and we shake) HB: I'm (blah) Me: So just hanging out in the library on Sunday? HB: Yeah. Me: Are you usually this boring on Sunday or do you have other stuff you do? HB: *laugh* No! I'm not usually this boring. (I get nervous at this point, break eye contact and then look back, and definitely don't DHV.) Me: So, uh, why don't you give me your number? HB: Um (hesitation), how about facebook, do you have facebook? Me: Yeah, how should I spell your name (I had forgotten already lol, need to work on that). She tells me, I shake her hand again and tell her it was nice to meet her and I walk off to get my project done. Sent her a friend request on FB about an hour later and she accepted, though she does have a boyfriend. I was happy to get over my AA quick today. Today for me was all about throwing myself out there and just establishing a connection with people. I'll post more as I go. |
