Post subject:  HI! AFC (BAD)

Hi just recently turned 18, im a senior. I have a serious AFC case, never been on a date, never had a girlfriend. Horrible with girls, i have a few friends who are girls but they arent tht good of friends. Im not bad looking at all, i have problems keeping eye contact, im always too quiet when i talk and i have problems keeping conversations going. I read The Game but im still lost.

I'm not great at conversation either (I don't totally suck though) here's some stuff that helped me:

Compile a list of things girls like to talk about to fall back on (there's one around here somewhere) here's a few bits I tend to fall back on if I'm stuck...

Movies
Music
Actors
Travelling
Food

Find the hooks in the information she gives you and make statements about the information that she gives you. Then delve deeper into one of those threads using Who, What, Where, Why. ie she says:

I've just got back from spain a couple of weeks back, I had a great time...

You should then make a statement (rather than straight off ask her another question).

You could say 'Oh right, I love spain - especially the food, I went with my mates to Malaga a few years ago, I had a really good time - I wasn't too keen on the locals though'

She could then respond to you with something like 'why what's up with the locals' or 'Yeah I love spanish food, what's your favourite dish?'

If she doesn't pick up the conversation you could then ask a deeper question using one of the potential threads she dropped in conversation:

Who did you go with?
What did you do there?
Why did you go there?
Where did you go in Spain?

By making statements after everything she says you aren't talking to her interview style (which would make her uneasy).
See what I mean?

Welcome,

A lot of people start by reading The Game (I did) and it does still leave many questions. Don't worry because the game has moved on a bit more.

Everyone has their personal PUA's and I would recommend Adam Lyons and Richard La Ruina 'Gambler' as a much better understanding of the game. They too were complete AFC's like you.

Good luck :D

I truly agree, i too read the game and analyzed it to the best of my skills and a lot of the stuff still escaped me.

So, here is what i did to get myself started:
An ordinary night out with a mate suddenly got very fun when i decided to try out some of the principles of the game, and mystery method, but as an average (not so frustrated) chump i was terrified when it came to approaching random girls in bars, especially when I thought that they might have read "The Game" (since it is a bestseller) and thus call me on my sad attempt at a pickup.

So what did i do? i invented an opener on the spot, not a very hard feat for me due to the fact that my girlfriend had just ditched me for a friend of mine, i fed them a truth-ism about a friend of mine whose girlfriend just left him to screw one of his friends and asked for a female opinion, then i responded with what ever opinion i honestly had on her answer and turned away for about 3 seconds, i then turned back grabbed an empty seat and asked her:
"the things is though, he is now trying to hook up with her best girlfriend just to get back at her, is this fair or is he just stooping to her level"?

and bang! the set was opened and firmly at attention, i only applied mild kino and it worked like a charm with multiple sets through the entire evening.

I highly recommend doing this, the spontaneous opener eliminated any fear I had of the girls calling me on my pickup, and after 2 sets, my confidence was through the roof, just note that the opener is split in 2 on purpose so i had a natural way to continue the conversation after my first opinion opener was answered.

I wish you good luck getting started mate!
