Post subject:  Die AFC, Die..... Zigzag.

Sorry for the long introduction but I need to get this out……..

My name is zigzag and live in the midlands UK (Bromsgrove) B60. I’m 40 years of age and have recently picked myself up after a 5 yr relationship ended. Until recently I can only describe my love life as GOOD but more by luck than judgment! 3 months ago I met a girl that turned my head… HB6 – HB7, but guess what!!! She only wanted to be friends. Looking for inspiration on how to turn this round and info as to what I did wrong lead me to buying ‘ The Game ‘ Neil Strauss. ‘Good Start’ I hear you cry!

2 days of reading later… OMG… I realised that I had made every mistake & some in the book. Still attempting to get the girl I tried DHV and Jealousy routines ( Real shit not fake). Alas I’m still in the friend zone!!! But it doesn’t hurt like it did.

Next Her…. (Some days later)

Last night I met a couple of guys at a salsa party (don’t worry I’m not on the turn). I knew these guys enough to say ‘Hi’. They said they were going for a curry after the salsa and asked if I wanted to tag along, which I did.

While in the curry house one of the guys opened a 2 set on the table next to ours. It was very clumsy and could have gone either way. Due to the seating arrangement I had the chance to observe all the interaction without really being part of the set.

1 hour later my new friend had number closed his target and they left the restaurant. He started to bragging about what he had just achieved but I couldn’t stop from laughing!!!!. He asked me why I was laughing, expecting me to praise him. Without thinking I told him that the number close was good but then continued to systematically criticise his whole game. He has never read ‘The Game’ and had been working from his natural instincts and experiences so I should have said nothing.

But… I couldn’t stop myself.

I told him that his opener was clumsy and pointed out that he had gone straight for the target without making sure her friend wasn’t a cock blocker, he also went straight into complements with no negs at all but got away with it as it was an easy set. He told told them he was a teacher (which he isn’t) that almost stalled the conversation but luckily the target then asked me what I did to which I replied ‘I’m a gynaecologist’ and the conversation picked up again from there only to be stalled again by his wing man who should have been keeping her friend in conversation.

I sat there for 30 mins pinpointing all the flaws that I had noticed when I realised that the occupants of the surrounding tables were hanging on my every word.

That’s when I realised that I knew some of the technical side but none of the practical and that what I had learned to try and turn an LJBF into a GF had taught me new skills that I had not realised or even tested yet…..

So here I am….. I have no wing man or good places to sarge on my own, so I’m running solo which makes it hard but I’m not running away from this now.

If I was wrong with busting my new friend then let me know…..

If anyone in my area wants to help me out testing whatever talents I might have then contact me please………

Here’s to new friends… Cheers..

Welcome Zigzag, and a good post.

Always good to see mature guys coming into the PUA scene, because it isn't just about women, it can help everything in life.

Basically, I think you should and could have been easier on your friend, as your no master PUA, and remember he is just a regular guy with probably no" game" or no experience from reading up on PUA's.

I think he did well to Number close, but to many people think that's the deal sealed, and from your post, he seemed to think this, and you didn't, which was good. It's a hard thing to do at first, but once it becomes second nature, it's the easy part and pushing on from there, getting a woman to want to see you becomes the real test.

If you want people from your area, post in the dedicated wingman section on the forum, I'm sure people will be up for it, and around yours.

Stay active, post everyday if you can, and read other posts, it'll help your all round game.

Read up on natural game, it'll make you see things differently too, in a good way and you could progress so much quicker.

Chel.

Hey Chel

Thanks for reading my post, I have just sighed a big relief in the knowlege that I'm not talking to myself and someone is actually here.

I'm new to the site and not had the chance to mooch around yet but I will def seek out the dedicated wingman section.

Where would u reccomend I start with 'Read up on natural game'? Like i said in my post I'm 40 years of age so I at the moment I'm reading what i can but changing it to suite my age.

Well put it this way matey, I'm 21, I was introduced to the PUA world by someone of your age, after a serious relationship broke me into pieces emotionally, but now, it's a learning curve, so what I want to imply is that, put age aside in most circumstances.

I'd suggest get hold of a book called Natural game, by Richard La Ruina, known as Gambler, who owns this forum. Amazon sell it I think. Cheap and worthwhile. Runs you through his life, helpful as he is from the UK, and I see things the way he did.

Use the natural game part of the forum, read a few sticky's and I'd also suggest any book on NLP. I started reading up on NLP and it has generally made me feel a lot better all around.

Hope that helps

Chel

No problem mate, progress can be a slow process. Just keep on at everything.
