Hi, I started posting here a while ago, and have been trying to contribute as much as possible, though I'm still pretty new to the field. I started out being an AFC (I was still unkissed at the age of 19, and lost my virginity about the age of 20 - I'm 28 now), but then my confidence has been growing over the last few years. My techniques where still AFC, but I would get lucky every now and then, though most of the time I wouldn't get any further than making out or losing to LMR. However, a few months ago, I came in touch with venusian arts through friends, and we've been analyzing my sarges together for a while before I found the community and picked up The Game to read. I'm still reading that book (almost done) and I have a lot to learn. However, my lay record is rapidly increasing, in relative terms, so I'm moving in the right direction. Right now I'm at 13 lays plus 4 girls which don't really count as I didn't get all the way. The things that contributed the most to getting over my AFC:ness where (in chronological order): * Occasionally getting to make out with some random girls on the dance floor when I started clubbing as a 19-year old. I realized that I had some market value. * Getting laid for the first time at the age of 20ish. * Getting into a relationship and hearing a girl saying "I love you". Age 23-26. * Getting out of a one-itis relationship, being a wreck over it and drinking my ass off every night not caring or giving a fuck about anything. I had never before been as lucky with girls as I was right then. I didn't manage at the time to keep the don't-give-a-fuck attitude once I started feeling OK again, but I got a confidence boost out of it, which never really wore off. * Meeting an HB8 who followed me home and stayed over several nights and who I had tons of sexual kino with (no sex nor kissing, though). She told me that I was the most interesting person she had met for a long time. I had never imagined hearing those words spoken by a HB8 before. * Starting to think in terms of venusian arts. * Understanding that as soon as I got over my AA (or, at least, ignored it and started approaching despite the AA) I had multiplied my chances of hooking by the same factor that I had multiplied the number of approaches (not exactly true, as some of the added approaches may have been lower quality, because, before, I would only make warm approaches with low risk of failure and now I added cold high-risk approaches. But hey, you get the point). After all, you have to meet them first in order to lay them. Just get out there. Approaching more helped me a lot even though every other aspect of my game was lagging. And that's where I'm at right now. I'm still very much an AFC in some respects, but definitely getting there. I'm trying to think about things in my game, suck up all the wisdom that I can get from here and come up with and share my own ideas.
