Hello Forum,
Today is my first day in the community, and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am 26, live in Torrance, California, and currently an MBA student at a local university. I am very new to the game, I actually haven't gotten though Neil Strauss "The Game" yet (about half way), but it has introduce me to the community, and I am very thankful of that. I have always been a very out going person, but like some of you here, I was never taught how to interact with the opposite sex. I do ok at meeting and picking up girls, but that is mostly attributed to luck and my charming personality (some people would say). I have no methods, and my approach is chaotic at best. My goal is to find guidance from those who have been in the game longer then I, and one day hopefully after obtaining enough knowledge, to help others who were once in my shoes.
My goal is to find mentors that can help me in my quest, and find others like me to go sarge with. I am down to go anywhere between Santa Monica and San Diego, so if any PUA out there would like an apprentice, please let me know.
A few things about me:
1. I am fearless. I don't fear the approach, I just don't know what to say when i get there. I would have to say opening is the hardest part for me.
2. I am a good wing man. Once the opening is over i am quite comfortable, and beside, all you have to do as a wing is keep the ugly girl occupy anyways.
3. I am a fun person to be around. At least thats what my friends tell me, or they could just be lying.
4. I am always up for anything. I can do indoors or outdoors. video games, poker, board games, snowboarding, paint balling, playing basketball, just basically anything fun and i am down.
so to conclude I want to leave you a pathetic field report from last night, that was the tipping point of why i decided to join the community and learn the pickup game.
I was at downtown LB last night, a friend and I were bar hopping. We started at Auld Dubliner a local Irish bar. We walked in, got two drinks and stood at a bar for a while looking at the crowd. We decided to walk around and found this set of 3 sitting at a table. I was at a 45 degree angle from the target about 3 feet away, we made eye contact, she gave me a little smile, and then...... nothing. I did nothing. Obviously after a while she got back to her conversation and I got back to standing there like an idiot. so we decided to move closer to the bar. I was standing at the bar facing out, and this beautiful blond walked past me, smile and sat right next to me. And once again I couldn't say anything. I didn't know what to say. I thought about saying hi, but then what? That moment ruin the whole night for me. I knew that if I could just open her, I would have had her, she gave me th IOI and I blew it.
So that is my story, and the reason why I am here. I look forward to contributing to the community, and have the community help me in my quest.
