Hi all.

I'm an AFC. Not sure Why I fail so much at women. If it's a good hint I don't manage to obtain IOIs, if my life depended on approaching a girl and obtaining a single IOI I'd just shoot myself outright from the certainty of the outcome.

At times I get IOIs, not from girls I approach but from girls that approach me. It was not that I succeeded it was that I was their type. Which is a good thing because otherwise I'd even be virgin but doesn't change the fact that I always fail every attempt to approach a woman.

And to tell the truth I don't expect to become a master pick up artist, I'd just be happy with having an acceptable success to failure ratio because at the moment I am 29 and I have a grand total of zero lifetime successes.

Hey, it's never too late to join the community... here's hoping you learn a lot, put things into practice and start getting better with the opposite sex as you've always wanted. My recommendation would be, get your Inner Game sorted out first! All rejection is feedback, so don't be afraid to try anything and make mistakes...

It's never too late to improve your life-skills. I've just joined up myself and I'm 8 years older than you. Like you, I've been plagued by the "You're Not Good Enough For Her" demon sitting on my shoulder and whispering self-defeating thoughts into my head. I aim to kill the little bastard once and for all! :D

Thanks for the positive comments.

I will look into the inner game thing as you suggest, but I have the perception that inner game is for people who are just being stopped by their own fears and insecurities, if it's so it may be redundant because for whatever reason I'm unable to perceive women as something I can fear, unless they're armed or something.

I think my messing up is more like that Howard character from The Big Bang Theory. I don't act like him but at some point I even tried acting like him, for the sake of trial and error alone, and it obviously didn't work.

I've done so much trial and error that an artificial intelligence would already be a master at this. :oops:

Welcome to the forums :) I too am new to the whole scene. For a good month or so I have been studying puas out of my pure interest in the sociology and psychology behind it. I too fail at talking to girls so don't feel alone lol, we'll all learn to be epic, awesome non-afcs!

Hi scamp. I'll just say I live somewhere in south america. US and Europe aren't alien to me because I've been there many times and have family in both sides of the Atlantic.

I don't think you can profile me by stereotype but if you want to try then here we go:

I'm a son of european inmigrants who came to this country during the early post-war years. I think I'm really just culturally rootless because I haven't assimilated the culture of this country, and my euro roots come from my parents who left Europe when they were barely babies. I don't regret any of this because I define myself by my choices and not by any cultural roots.

My profession is computer science. I already know that women consider it less interesting than telemarketing. My passions are also technical in nature (cars, weapons, energy, ww2) which utterly bores women, or scares them away. They only show acceptance for my photoshop skills. I'm not ashamed of this, I'm just aware that I am not able to use any of that to impress anyone.

Impress, or otherwise show desirable qualities. Or simply not show undesirable ones.

I talk to women it's just I can't get them to be interested in me, or in seeing me again. I would suppose that in the time I talk to them I have to give them a decent reason for wanting to see me or a plausible reason to say "why not".

I don't even mention computers until they ask. And when I answer I typically detect microscopic face changes that indicate change from smile to fake smile. I think it's like saying "I'm a professional nerd". Now that I think of it, it may be that in addition I'm also letting them know that the things I do and the things I like are things they'll never understand, it might even give hints of being selfish or unsensitive.

Right now I think that next time I'm asked about things I like I should not mention the things I like and instead answer things I like that they could like to share with me. As I may have been messing up by answering "me" things and not "we" things. I'll do that, I'm pretty sure I still get so many other things wrong that I'll still be crash landing on friend zone but any form of noticeable improvement tastes like success to me.

Fair play fella. You will definitely learn a lot here.

I have and my game is improving week by week. I Keep putting up detailed field reports and get good feedback. I suggest ou do someting similar and ppl will be able to dissect where you are making mistakes
