I'm J.P. from Columbia, SC (USA). I'm 37, and have always been an introvert, if not completely socially ignorant. I've been a lurker of PUA ever since I was shown a clip of Neil Strauss (Style) on The View talking about the PUA scene.
Ever since seeing that, I've picked up tidbits of knowledge here and there about the activity, just enough to wet my appetite, but never really partaking of the feast. Well, unfortunately, I've been bitten by the highly-contagious unemployment plague, so I've got a little extra time on my hands until I bounce back. I've decided that being "the calm, quiet, nice-guy that keeps to himself" (what you guys call an AFC) isn't working for me anymore, and I'm set on improving my social skills as much as possible.
I've noticed that a lot of "the Game" is about improving overall social skills, more so than just memorizing cheesy lines and checking body language. That's my goal while I'm here, and I hope you bear with me while I stumble along.
