Hey, I'm weakestlink (or at least that's the name I go by online), but this name is not indicative of my build/strength. I took this name from the game show that came out roughly 10 years ago when I was in 6th grade and playing the online game neopets (I was distressed when every name involving Dragonball Z had already been snatched and decided to go with weakestlink). This name has since followed me into almost every online community I have joined (sometimes followed by the number 33 when weakestlink has already been taken by someone else). I'm somewhat of an amateur powerlifter. I began lifting weight when I was in the 7th grade and have been hooked ever since. Even though I had never played football before and am of below average height, I was placed on my high school's jv football team the summer before my freshman year (skipping freshmen football) simply because my strength was on par with some of the weaker varsity players. I then proceeded to play 3 years of varsity football, was named a captain my senior year, and even played in our area's all-star game. Yet my success with women has been somewhat depressing I have hooked-up with 7 girls in my life... 4 of them were one night stands, 2 of them were very, very short flings, and then there's my first who was the only real girlfriend I have had (which only lasted a few months) And I don't think its my looks that are the problem. That's why I have cone here. Although I'm short, I'm very muscular and I consider myself an attractive guy. When I go to parties, I have usually attractive girls come approach me... However, I usually either offend them or bore them, and they move on I also have approach anxiety, which sometimes gets worse as the night progresses. Basically I either offend girls within a few minutes of opening them, or I repeat the same subject we are talking about and beat it to death until it is obvious the girl is bored with that conversation... and with me My best successes come when I am out with one of my friends who is very good at opening girls and carrying conversation, but is no good at taking things further. He can basically run the conversation and change the topics while keeping all of us involved. I can usually tell which girls in the group are into me while we are all talking (sometimes one girl will either keep glancing at me or specifically address me at weird times in the conversation). Eventually I can branch that girl out into a side conversation and remove her from the group if I'm also into her These are all issues that I can figure out how to solve by practicing some of the things I have read here and on other pua sites, but my biggest problem, and the one that has really driven me to come here is my inability to set up dates with girls I meet. I do receive a decent amount of phone numbers from girls, but they all seem to follow the same pattern when I call them up to set something up. They accept my invitation, but then text me later and flake out. I think a lot of times this may be because I have either offended one (or more) of her friends and/or come across as somewhat of an asshole to her friends, and then they convince her that I am not the type of guy she should go on a date with. But I still haven't really figured this issue out So yeah, that introduction turned out to be a lot longer than I intended, but I hope to learn a lot from you guys and maybe someday be able to offer something back to the community.
