I'm not comfortable posting on internet forums, but, I find that, in my real life situations, I cannot find a person to confide my questions with. I've heard of this "pick up" community, and I've decided to see what it's all about.
To approach girls, I don't have a problem. I can strike up a decent conversation with any girl whatsoever.
...but I have another issue bothering me. It's being assertive.
Initiating things are a big problem for me. I tend to be a reserved person, and as such, I keep my distance, and automatically assume everyone I talk to is out to hurt me. In the lucky few instances I did talk to a girl, I built something out of it, and would have a girl touching and coming near me on occasion, but then, my own anger and jealousy would kick in, and I'd start treating any girl I connect with like shit, as if she were a dirty slut.
I notice that most of the people that I knew who got girls were fucking douchebags. They lied, cheated, manipulated, and strewn girls around, got them into bed, then left them. A person I "was" friends with stole a girl I connected with at a lounge, WHILE HE HAD HIS THEN-GIRLFRIEND with him, and left me to fend for myself. I had to comfort his girlfriend, and find my own way home, while he fucked the girl I was talking to (even got her number, but now, I deleted it. Vicious slut.)
I've noticed small differences by reading articles on Ask Men. com, and reading stuff from David DeAngelo (That's how I was able to find this site). Even after a lot of reading, this is what I got from it:
-You have to be a piece of shit worm of a human being to get the women you WANT.
-Genuinely kind guys get shit on, which is fucking wrong.
-Women aren't the culprit, but I still have to contend with dogs.
I'd like to say I understand women. All you gotta do is make them feel good without looking like a pussy. But, even so, I'm still a nice guy at heart. I don't ever intend to screw one of my buddies over for a girl. It is what it is, but I guess I just want the power to make things right.
This is why I'm reaching out. I'm still a bit iffy about this whole Pick Up thing, but I like to learn. I am surrounded by dogs; vicious monsters who steal girls from good guys.
I wish to become the greater guy who can control his environment. I notice this may be the place to do it.
So yeah. I'll be here for a bit. Not too long, but I am open ears.
