Hey Smartbomb here, from Portland Maine. I used to have "game" when I was in high school and college - popular with girls and getting a lot of tail. I didn't seem to have any methodology - I guess I was just young, fearless and stupid, and didn't give a shit if anyone rejected me. I never went after really hot girls, but I always seemed to be with someone fairly good looking and got laid a lot. Over the years I've had sex with 14 women, but it was much easier back then. I got married in my 20s and that's when it started going downhill. Now I'm just a couple of weeks shy of my 38th birthday, I've been divorced for about 10 years, and I've changed. I am not the outgoing person who's popular with the ladies like I used to be. I didn't let myself go, and I still look pretty good. I work at a university and despite salt-n-pepper hair everyone thinks I'm 10+ years younger than I am. I'm short (5'6) but good looking and have a stocky/muscular build. Lately it seems like my dating life has hit the toilet. I don't go out - it's easier to try to cruise through the dating sites like match and eharmony, but with predictable results. Man, these places suck! I am not looking for a wife, I just want to have fun before I become an old man. A couple of weeks ago I came across a few chapters of that book by Neil Strauss - someone posted a scan of it on a bulletin board. It looked interesting, and the guys in the book kept talking about online bulletin boards, which brought me here. I haven't even really started yet. I'm just looking for some tips to improve my game and get back out. Hobbies - I'm outdoorsy (hikes, mountain biking, kayaking, sailing), like being on the ocean, going to the beach. I'm also a painter and sculptor. And yah, I know that Portland Maine isn't exactly NYC or LA but it's where I'm at right now. I have a good job that provides my basic needs and also is funding an MBA so I'm here for a while. The economy in New England is rough so this is a survival job for a while. But I gotta have a little fun while I'm here. |
