Allow me to preface this by saying that I have been lurking the forums for the past couple of weeks and am amazed at the wealth of information here. There seems to be many helpful and talented memebers of this forum; I am truley impressed. About me: I am currently on the tail end of a 9 year relationship, and while it is painfull emotionally we are still very friendly. She was my fiancee and we just recently sat down and realized that things have gone stale and basically we are better friends than anything. Great girl but the relationship definatly lost its spark. So as it stands I have been out of the game for 9 years; a few flings in between but still a long time. Im 32 and have noticed that there are many members who are quite a bit younger, perhaps I am a bit envious but are there many older members of the forum? I suppose I am feeling a bit discouraged at this point but have any of you been out of the game for so many years and gotten back in. Any tips on how you did it would be much appreciated. To complicate things a bit we moved away from our home town not to long ago so my friend base here is not too large. I am from Chicago originally and moved to Southern Indiana for various reasons. I am not much of a club person anymore but hit the bars occasionally and am a student at a smaller private university down here. Anyway, I know this was sort of long winded...any comments or encouragement would be much appreciated. Cheers, Matt |
