That's pretty much me in a nutshell. >what your goals are I just moved to a new city, coincidentally 2 days after I lost the one social connection I had in the area, my job. I have no ground off of which to launch. I've spent the better part of the last 2 years learning how to be comfortable with myself out in the world, learning to be okay with myself alone, and though that has infinitely helped me in the social situations I do get, it's really not helped me meet people. I like to say that approaching is my sticking point, but that's not as true as I'd like it to be. The real truth is that I have a hard time building a connection and finding common ground with people. That continues to be a barrier for me with night game - I just don't relate well to that crowd no matter how much time I spend there. It's not just women, I don't have any guy friends out here either. I don't know how to meet people, I don't know where to meet people (I've tried the usual suspects - libraries, trying to find local clubs, etc) and that's where I am. I want to fix that. I want to be able to make friends wherever I go, have my choice of women to spend my time with, and generally feel comfortable socially. That's my goal. |
