| Post subject: | Intro, plus a quick question. |
Howdy from Texas. heh. So I've had some confidence problems in the past (I hear we all do sometimes), and I'm tryin to work past that noise. I figured this would be a good way to do so. I had good luck with girls when I was in middle school, early high school, but have been in a drought from then 'till now. I'm currently 22. Managed to lose my virginity already though. Anyways, right now I have my own place, go to the local community college and am so gorgeous I can hardly keep my hands off of me, so the only thing to work through is confidence in the approach and keeping my cool. Traditionally I have a really strong approach on a good day (though I see them less often than I'd like), then melt back into being an AFC. Pining over some girl I think is perfect, calling too much, getting shut out. Not a big deal, any experience is good experience. I just got "the game" by Neil Strauss, so I'll be thumbing through that, but something I've been working on already is short, simple approaches. That's where the question comes in. If a girl looks my way for a few seconds, I have no problem saying "hi", or handing out some witty comment. The problem is, that doesn't happen often, or I don't see it when it does. A chick will be walking towards me, facing some other direction, so she'll walk by unless I stop her, which would startle her and put lots of pressure on the opening line being good, not just something like "hey I like that jacket, what's with the fuzzy hood?", etc. Anyways, I've got plenty of spare time to practice and absorb material, so here's hopin' the community can help out. I'm gonna go out for a quick opener and a burrito, see you guys around. |
