I've always had trouble approaching women. I always waited for women to approach me. Luckily a few did. Thank god I'm not an ugly schmuck, otherwise I would have never gotten laid. Then came the internet and I found it easy to meet girls from online dating sites. Yea, I've been with hundreds of women, but only a handful of them did I initially meet in person without the help of the internet. I've always wanted to able to just meet women, but no one ever told me that if you want something you gotta go out and get it. Freaking pathetic that I'm just learning this. I'm looking forward to the challenge.
A few points to ponder:
Strengths:
- I'm pretty good with human nature, psychology, anthropology, and sociology to some degree.
- Got a fair understanding regarding "social proof", status, etc.
- Really good at recognizing ambiguous women, and I feel that gaming such women reduces the crash & burn potential as opposed to the cold "anyone is game" approach.
Weaknesess:
- Approach anxiety (I understand the 3 second rule but find it hard to step up to the plate. I occasionally self defeat myself with thoughts of "gotta make sure she isn't with someone already aka waiting for her boyfriend to come back from the rest room, etc)
- moving from casual conversation to making plans to gtg again.
- Standing up straight without appearing rigid. (I'm kinda tall, and find it hard to shake my own self-perceived (but probably false) menacing demeanor - looking down at people))
- Assuming that scantily clad or provocatively dressed women are sending out "yea I want to get laid so make a pass at me" signals.
