So today makes it one year... hell of a dry spell. That is unacceptable in my opinion and I need to make a change. I'm doing what I can and I hope that with some help from the wise I will be back in the game. For some reason highschool was easy and girls sort of just fell into my lap. I come from a small tropical island and I dunno I guess things are just different there I’ve not had much luck since I moved to the U.S. Anyways I’ve been reading up on some of the techniques you all have been talking about and decided I’d give it a try. So I took a big leap today and tried a couple of approaches. Approach 1 HB 7.5 -8 Filipina Young 18, 19, 20? Anyways I was at the mall in line for some fake chinese food when I see the girly come up and get in line behind me. I think my first mistake was the awkward fidgeting and probably obvious repeated looks i was giving her. I think we were in line together for about a minute before I actually decided to say something to her. Something along the lines of "So what did you get?" she looked up at me smiled and said the chicken. I said "oh i did aswell." She nodded and looked away... Yeah... The End. So that kind of sucked but it was a hell of a step for me. Approach 2 HB 8.5 Foreigner of Unknow Origin Was at the mall with my roommate who was looking to buy a sweater. We walk into Quicksilver and the girl manning the register is drop dead gorgeous. Dark skinned brunette anyways so I am utterly terrified of her. But I get up the guts to approach her directly. I blank out in front of her smile all retarded like and proceed to try on a pair of roxy glasses on in front of her. She informs me they are for women with a friendly smile. This is where I actually spit some game!! I tell her I was trying them on for a friend of mine just to make sure they fit good and that she made a good purchase. *demonstration of higher value* I asked her how I looked in them. She laughed a bit saying they weren’t for me and brought out a couple of guy pairs. I told her I was not interested in those and informed her I like the big buggeyed glittery ones better. She giggles and I even get her to try them on and model them for me! Felling G at this point when…. Roomate barges in and demands she help him order a jacket they didn’t have in his size. Moment blown and she goes to help him order the jacket. I lost all confidence after that and couldn’t find the courage to talk to her again. So that was my day… two approaches. Any thoughts? |

First off, your name caught my eye. Great book. It proves you've got good taste! Second, bravo for approaching! It's a step in the right direction and from the way you type things out I think you should focus on your inner game and build confidence. What you experienced shouldn't discourage you, it's all about learning by doing. Keep it up and you'll get there, bro! |

Thanks for the compliment! Need all the self esteem I can get. So I got a girl I will be approaching tomorrow at a frozen yogurt place nearby my school. I have seen her a few times when I go in to get a sugar fix but I never said nothing to her. I think it is time to remedy this situation. HB 8 latina college age. Any advice on a good opener? From what I can tell she doesn't really like her job seems kinda bored all the time. Maybe a joke or funny story to brighten her day... so many options. I'll be submitting a Field Report tomorrow. wish me luck. |

First off, close your eyes and think of the worst thing that can happen. You'll come to terms with that it's not that bad, since talking to people generally won't put you in jail... at least it never happened to me. As for an opener... it could be anything from "I need an opinion, do you think A or B tastes better?" and then go for the one she didn't pick... You've seen her a few times and always wondered wether she's really a girl or a guy in drag? "Ever noticed how serious people look when they try to decide what to get? Like it's the end of the world or something!" Whatever. It's called an opener for a reason. It doesn't have to be -that- good. |
