Hey guys, I am not the average AFC, but I am somewhat frustrated. I'm not a virgin, and I've had girls in my life before... however... recently I've come to realize just how terrible my skills with women are.

I've been watching a ton of clips by Mystery and Style on Youtube and Google videos. Although I hold an advanced degree in clinical psychology (Master's), the material that I've gleaned thus far from the PUA community has blown my mind.

Tonight I went out to a bar to test some of these new ideas out... problem is, I am a bit of a coward. I walked into the bar, looked around, and there were almost NO girls in there. So I wasn't sure what to do. I went to the bathroom, then came back out a minute later or so... again, kinda paralyzed by the fact that there were all these guys in the bar, and only a few girls. So, I just went a got a Mike's Hard Lemonade. Sat there for a while, watching sports on the TV. Every once in a while, I leaned back in my chair, to scope out the bar... but almost nothing had changed. I just didn't know what to do, and was a little intimidated by the whole experience. Eventually I left without having approached a set... but I was a little proud of myself for even walking into a bar. I could count the amount of times I've been to a bar on one hand. For some reason, it's kinda intimidating to me.

What I'd really like is to connect with a PUA in my area who has some experience and is willing to take me on as his wing. I live in the Boise area of Idaho. And for those who may be wondering- Boise is a pretty urban area.

Guidance, guidance, not help! your not in distress!

But welcome to the forum!

There will be plenty of "PUA's" available, however my advice is to learn by yourself. Its the responsibility we take which makes us men!

yeah i totally agree...if you go out into a bar by yourself then you'll be far more motivated to meet people!
if what you say is true about having been in a bar so few times then you've already taken the first step, do this a couple more times and don't worry about what people are thinking, generally people will take no notice unless you sit and fidget and look really nervous.
i recommend once your slightly more comfortable in the whole situation just strike up a random conversation with anyone...even a guy. eventually you'll have the confidence and the comfort to start opening sets.

Regards

Lucky
