It took me a while to pick up the courage to sign up. But to me this is a make or break situation. So here goes: I'm 19, a virgin, my first pick up book i read was Double Your Dating, when i was 16. Since then i've read a few more books and have only been talking to girls online as i've been ill on and off. Unfortunately it got really bad last september and had to have an ileostomy or either i would of died or got cancer later on. After i got out of hospital my confidence grew as thought i had another chance at life but now it seems to be deflated because of the lack of women in my life and i feel its effecting all aspects of my life as i find myself having 0 motivation to do anything. I've bought almost every material thing i've ever wanted and none of it's made me any happier. I've read threads in other forums with guys who've said they've never had problems getting women but after they've had an ileostomy as soon as they mention it the woman walks out the door. The only women that consider going out with a guy that has what i have are nurses. This really makes me unconfident and depressed. I'm not very good at social interactions either, with anyone, guys, relatives and so on. The only interactions i seem to be good at are over the phone and on the net. Neways, I hope to make some friends here who can help me out and give me the confidence to go out and sarge. Thank you for your time |

Orite buddy, welcome to the Forum! Well you have made the right steps jumping on here as you will find all the advice, crit and most of all banter that will hopefully guide you in the right direction. Im also 19 and from the UK. What have you tryed in real life? You mentioned that you had spoken to girls on the internet but what about in person? If you like here is an optional task that i used from Neil Strauss's book called the Rules of the Game. I had no confidence and to build it i went up to random women and asked them "What their favorite film was at the moment." If asked why the reply was "That i was having a quiet night in and wanted a good film to relax with". Many good suggestions, wierd looks and a list of quality films and i felt a little more confident. Try it and let me know how it went. Peace out Saint! |

I have Asperger's Syndrome, so I know what it is like to be socially inept. I've been practicing for a while now. Wish me luck, and I wish you luck also. |
