Post subject:  Greetings From a Relative Newbie…26 Midwest USA

Greetings…

I am an engineer in his mid twenties working in the Midwest (USA). For the first 25 years of my life I was a complete AFC/ wuss, always frustrated with my lack of success with women, never understood them, and had all kinds of blind spots and rationalizations like “I could get a girl if I really wanted one” or “I am being selective and saving myself for the one”, etc. I bought my first DYD program a little over a year ago, and after going through that program I realized so much… It was great that I learned what I needed to do to improve myself/game (about all the inner issues I had), but also a bit overwhelming of just how much work I had to do.

For the first six months, I just watched DYD dvd’s and made no real attempt to practice the material in the field. But after that time, I slowly started forcing myself out into the field and making slow but sure progress (a few @ and # closes). After forcing myself out for a month or so, I was talking with about 4 different girls (first time I was ever talking with more than 1 girl in my life!) and got into a relationship with a very attractive girl for about 5 months. I chose to end this relationship recently and just started back into the game, going out with the main goal to improve on my approaches, and go from there.

I am far from a PUA at this point, but I am now realizing my full potential and abilities. I got into this game to have choice with women, to have the confidence that I always wanted, and to overcome an obstacle that has been holding me back for years. All ready my life in all areas has improved as a result of studying this game, specifically the inner game.

Any advice for a newbie is always welcome. Cheers…
