Not a big fan of forums. I'd rather be out talking to girls in the real world than talking theory on the internet. But everyone I know in Manc doesn't get back till mid-September, so this is a chance to extend the old social circle I guess. If your in Manc and you want to sarge PM me.
I'm 21. Been doing this for a while but I dont care if your brand new as long as you've got some cojones, I'm happy to sarge with anyone.
Cheers

Theory is more important, in the PUA world than practice (IMO)

Obviously you have to know how to talk to people (Being a normal person, and NOT awkward) and the rest is just theory.

It's psychological, not physical, it's like a game of Chess, not Boxing.

i disagree.

if what you say its true then it would be the same thing as "actions speak louder than words" turned to "words speak louder than action"

Me too that's almost an excuse to not practice, I would say theory is just as if not slightly less important than practice. That's like learning the highway code then only doing a couple of driving lessons and trying to sit the practical exam!

I would actually say practice is better than theory. You can know all the theory you want, but unless you utilize it, why know it?

You can practice all you want and what ever doesn't work can be changed and what ever works can be kept. With practice, you learn calibration and tonality both vocally and physically. Practice gets you hands-on experience and teaches you things about yourself that no book can tell you.

Back to the topic, it looks like there are quite a few people here you can meet up with. Try posting in the "Meet Up & Wing" section - you should get some hits there.

Well, what I'm saying is, once you've got the "regular guy" personality down. (aka not a total nerd and you've talked to some girls but you were never really successful with them) then it's more vital to learn theory/ how to act through coaches/ books/ etc

I'll tell you right now I used to go out all the time and probably only succeed with 1 out of the 3 girls I hit on.

Now it's like 9 out of 10.

Sure, practice your work, but if you approach 1000 sets without any theory and definition behind your approach, the 5 sets I've approached after reading / watching countless hours of how-tos will be much more educational.

An outline would be - Learn Learn Learn, Practice, Learn Learn Learn, Practice.

Even practicing on a fat chick or a group of guys is an accurate way to see how attractive girls will treat you (Albeit with 10s you need to build social proof and an identity, merging sets, etc, but you get the point)

After all this time I've spent in my house learning PUA (And just slightly practicing), I've become nearly a master.

Currently the biggest mac at my school.

I want to also say that I've been a natural before (and the problems with naturals is they can say / do something stupid)

But since I've read up on Mystery Method, AFCAdam, etc I've learned to plug the holes of negativity I was leaking from.

Now, I don't make those same mistakes I used to make in the past simply by reading up on my stuff - theory.

I.e. doing great game and not escalating Kino and getting in the friend's zone.

Or, show too much interest and lower my own value.

This is great advice, your confidence is greatly improved when gaming the fatty's, I do this alot. Also socializing with and befriending cool guys is important and both are great ways of getting yourself in state for the rest of the day.
