Well, I came across the whole PUA thing looking for information on overcomming my fear of public speaking. As I investigated further, I became aware that this really is the golden ring...this encompasses so much of what has held me back from doing the things that I've wanted my whole life....not to mention...I'm still single. The sucesses that I've had in the past I can now see clearly were almost dumb accident that I happened to apply a philosophy found here...without even realizing it! (negging for example). So I've been reading some of the books, looking over different websites and materials and am going to deticate myself to this for a while and see where it takes me. I can already tell you that I can apply this so much farther than the PUA in me. Looking forward to it.

A few thoughts from the AFC newbie (me): I read "The Game" after I discovered the community, this week. I've been reading posts, watching some videos and checking out material from across the internet and have picked up a couple of other books along the way. Here is something that I've been seeing. A lot of people seem concerned that this is manipulation of another human being on the worst level. I disagree. Deception is the common factor when manipulating anyone...not any technique presented here. While the techniques can be used to enhance the lie, it's the lie that makes you a shit-heel. This goes for PU's, friendship, business and every other relationship in your life...which most of the techniques here can be applied. A good lawyer uses these techniques to present and win agruments in court. A good salesman uses these techniques to sell you a car. A good teacher uses these techniques to get you interested in the subject they teach. A good parent uses these techniques to raise a child into a responsible adult. Think back to a good teacher you've had and you will see that I am right.
