Post subject:  Shed this AFC coat

I'm a 25 YO science/math grad student living just outside of the Washington DC area.
I've had a lot of experience with women. Both good and bad.
Back in the day, I read various books that sometimes helped, and sometimes didn't. I've done well for myself in the past, especially in undergrad (at a big SEC Football school, joining a fraternity definitely helps).

I'm in an interesting time in my life and I know others have been in my shoes before. I've grown older and feel more mature so going after HBs feels almost futile though I find myself intrigued by them. I have slightly reverted back to my slightly frustrated ways, because sometimes I just don't want to "play the game." But at times I realize, it's not a game, it's just how things work. Obviously, the best "tool" you can get from this site, any book, etc. is just confidence in yourself and this could be the root of my frustrations, but other feelings interfere as well. Low salary, living with parents, etc. feed into the confidence thing as well.

I'm a very compassionate guy, and any gal I've dated or even hooked up with, I usually do so because, well, I actually like them. I actually feel bad when I lose interest in a girl, especially when she's so interested in me. I also have never acquired the ability to one-night-stand a girl (while not totally drunk) and not feel bad about it.

Any advice and guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for providing the forum. It has absolutely fed me with a lot of understanding on how women work.
