Hey guys, not sure if I'm doing this correctly, but this is my attempt at an introduction post. In fact it is my very first post ever despite being 20 years of age, and having stumbled upon a thread or two. This is exciting. A good friend of mine, with whom I've been planning on going sarging for way too long now, introduced me to The Game last spring. I've read a fair number of books, many of which have appealed to the artist, or dreamer, or optimist, or pessimist in me, but no book has struck a practical life chord like Neil Strauss' The Game. Really, I get f***ing fired up when I read that book! I have a lot of interests. Too many interests. I'm one of those guys who hates the idea of a career. Maybe I'll someday succumb to prudence's promises and leave that mindset behind. God I hope not. But seriously, we all want to have fun. We want to be free. But you need money to have fun and be free, right? And you need a career, the antithesis of fun and freedom, to have money? F*** paradoxes. Enter: Pick-up. Okay, so what exactly is pick-up? A hobby? A game? A lifestyle? Dare I say, a career? Hmm...Maybe there IS a way to have your cake and eat it too. I love girls. Sex is pretty sweet. And human interaction is one of the most fascinating things in the world. I mean Jesus Christ, we're all evolutionary masterpieces. Am I seriously going to pursue Pick-up as a hobby, game, lifestyle, or career? I don't know. But I'm pretty sure my fulfillment will begin with a vision. Okay it's time for me to sleep, I've got accounting class in the morning. |
