I am a little bit embarrassed about this, but here we go!
I am a seventeen year-old living in the San Fransisco Bay Area.
I had heard a little a bit about this community since I was around 15-16, but I didn't join earlier since I was under several false impressions about the community. I later read Style's The Game and I ended up becoming interested in looking further into the community.
This is going to sound really bad, but I am a complete AFC. I have had 0 gfs or relationships in the past, no kisses or anything at all. I am trying to break out of having really low self-esteem, terrible social skills and paralytic shyness so tonight I walked around town and tried to speak to 51(!!) people... some of whom I actually exchanged some comments with!
The experience really made me feel great, since I realized that this fear and anxiety that I felt was completely irrational.
I didn't even care that some people shot me wierd looks or completely ignored me! Probably a very minor accomplishment to any of you, but to me it was an unbelievable experience!
I really love to learn new things, almost anything I can find interesting. I truly have a passion for learning, especially when it comes to things such as history, literature, philosophy, religion, psychology, politics, art, music or culture. I am also interested in technology, economics and science. Mathematics is a bit of a weak point for me, but I am trying to get around that.
For me, my real motivation for interacting with people socially is to connect with others. I would like to profoundly affect at least 10 people positively in my life, hopefully more. I am not too concerned about sex, but I would really love to have great relationships with women (both romantic and platonic) as well as men (only platonic).
I don't wish to bore you guys too much, but I really do look forward to meeting all of you someday!
