Proud to be a member of this community, but please- before I disappear into reading the archives, let me tell you something of myself and the journey leading up to this point.For the past few months, one of my close mates has been heralding "The Game" as his bible. When I first heard of it, I was skeptical and laughed at most of the techniques he described to me.
"No use to me anyway" I said "I'm in a relationship."
Few months later, there I was. Free as a bird. For the first time in going on four years (from two different long term relationships). And suddenly, everything my friend had been telling me made sense. He told me one day that I was a natural peacock, which again I had laughed at. But the more I thought on it, it made sense.
I've got a strong alternative look shall we say, and I am rarely shy with it. It's not something I do on purpose for the attention of people, it's just how I'm comfortable. Going out wearing a fishnet shirt, make up, nail varnish and a nice pair of jeans isn't unusual for me.
But after talking to him for a while, I realised I was actually doing it all wrong. He told me more about "The Game", and about several friends who'd dived headlong into the PUA community, joining forums and meeting up with PUA's to go out sarging. Told me about the various opener's and close's. But the breaking point was when he told me about some of the successes these friends had since they got involved.
Visited Amazon, "The Game", the sequel and, just to try and give myself a headstart, an amateur Street Magic book.
Followed this up by buying a new outfit with accessories for an experiment. I wanted to know if it was all genuine. Went out the following night and lo' and behold my different approach on peacocking worked! I got wolf-whistled by a group of attractive young ladies, struck up a conversation with them (or rathering... fluffed for a few minutes) noticed a few IOI's and then rejoined my group of friends when I spotted them.
A failing some might say, but I didnt go out with the intention of getting numbers. Just went out to see whether the game works for me, or rather if I have any game whatsoever
My intentions in general? It's not a case of picking up women every time I go out. Things need to change in my life, I need to change. And from how good I felt about myself after the wolf-whistle, I think is the direction I need to head in!
So now, here I am. An eager student. Hopefully you wont find this introduction pretentious or arrogant and I look forward to speaking to y'all again.
