Hey all. I am actually not your typical gamer bc I am a girl! I just read the game though and thought it was prob the best book ever and had to look up a forum to see if all this really existed. Anyway, hope you don't find it weird to have a girl here, but hopefully I can give you some insight into the mysterious mind (or i guess not so mysterious mind NOW) of females. Feel free to send me a message if you have a question you want a female's opinion on or if you have a a technique you want to test before you go out and use it.

I'm 22, and just moved to the DC area so it will be fun to see some of this stuff put to life (the last place i lived was wayyyy small and i don't think many people read the book there! ha) Ok im out for now...laterrrr

Welcome to PUAF! Be sure to go over the forum rules, though. I had to delete one of your posts because it didn't fly with rule #1

Hello and welcome. Don't worry, I don't believe that you are the first (and I suppose not the last) girl to join the forums. I hope I can look to you for some advice from time to time!

So that neither Bonita is offended and that site Admin are happy Im not being prejudice about asking people about their sexuality BUT

Bonita are you "playing for our team" in the sense that you "love the movie "Bound" " or are you a female wing giving tips on how to engage women?

I have to say now if I were Manchester United I wouldn't ask Arsenal whos goal I should be scoring in- no offense

Hahahaha no no no...I am straight. I LIKE MEN! lol I read The Game and wanted to see if a forum like this was real. The more I read some posts, the more interested I became. I decided to join NOT to hate on men but because ultimately I want men to become better at approaching women and making a good impression. I know im being gamed if it happens, so it isn't like I need to insider tips. I want to let you guys know (from a females perspective) what works and such. Plus I am so tired of hearing the excuse "I like her, but I don't know what to say." I know it is hard to approach us but you have to understand that if you don't approach us when you see us, then we think that you are just not into us. Women are all reading the book "He's Just Not That Into You" which is correct in many cases, but it also contradicts a lot of stuff the game tells you to do.

Welcome. If you have any problems, let me know and I'll see how I can help you and the forum.

I will be honest, I'm always wary of women who come here, offering advice right off the bat. Just because you're a woman, doesn't mean that you understand subconscious attraction switches, social dynamics, etc... of course your opinion and observations and guidance are still of great value. I mean that it's like a man becoming a sex therapist just because he's put his dilly in a hoo hoo before. There's more to it. There are qualifications needed.

It just is a big red flag, and seems a bit pompous. I came here first to LEARN, did that, and was THEN promoted based on my skill-set.

I hope you are different than all the rest, and I look forward to reading what you have to say. I also look forward to your proving me completely wrong :)

Haha I look forward to the challenge! And I understand what you mean. I know that just because something wouldn't work for me, doesnt mean some other girl wont be interested. When a group of girls talk about something a guy did they try and rationalize it through what they know about guys. But obviously they arent guys and dont think like them and really all they need is a man's perspective. So while I obviously don't field test my ideas because I am a girl and I like men, I am here to offer a female's perspective if I think it will help. But I appreciate that you don't just assume that I am a guru just because I am a women. I don't want people to take my words and accept them as 100% truth of all women. :)

I'm intrigued.

As a guy who's always travelling, I've field tested lots of stuff and gotten a varying mix of reactions - Asia, Africa, Europe. I haven't sarged in USA but look forward to your American perspective on what's worked and failed in the rest of the world.

Welcome.

She's a defector! I love it. LoL - just kidding.

Let me ask this - I met a girl the other night, and did the "let me get your opinion on something" bit. Basically I said "I have a friend who's stuck in the Friend Zone and wants to break out. But I know he's gonna get shot down. What should he do?"

After the girl is done rendering her advice, however, there isn't anything to continue on the conversation. I'm normally not so bad at keeping a conversation going, but what happens when you hit dead silence and she has nothing to say?

Looking forward to the advice.

PS - Cunning Linguist.... awesome name. hahaha.

First off, I think the "let me ask your opinion" is def a good move. It is bound to get some response. I think that particular question was a little too deep for an opener though. You want her to get a sense of who you are...not your friend--though that makes you look like a loyal friend. My first suggestion would be to use a more light-hearted question such as:

"I want to buy a dog but I have no clue what to name it...any ideas?"
"I have an awesome idea for a tatoo but im not sure where to get it"
"There is a girl at this club that I want to get to know better, what should i do...should i ask her for advice on something or should i buy her a drink (insert different options there)? ---if she assumes it is her it is perfect for a neg.

Those are some quick ideas but there are a lot more (and better--he he) ones already posted on this site. This already puts the focus on you and you get a sense of who she is by her answer. Such as the tatoo one--she says oh what do you want to get blah blah blah...i think you should get it on your shoulder...YOU: do you have any? HER: yes YOU: well im going have to see your credentials before i take your advice.

I think when your opener is about YOU, it will be easier to transition. If there is still silence just neg her. --"Are you always this social?" or "Can you stop talking for one second so I can say something?"

Hope that helps! :)
