Post subject:  hi

So, I'm completely new here. I became interested in the community.... shortly after The Pick-Up Artist came out (cheesy, I know, but it piqued an interest). After which, upon recommendation from one of my friends, I picked up Neil Strauss's "The Game" and regrettably I haven't finished it. I've made it about 3/4 of the way through, and seem to just have trouble powering through the last quarter of it. It's a shame too, because I enjoyed his writing style. I also tried reading Mystery Method, but I found that to be a bit too much for me to take in at the time. I did manage to get through the Juggler Method, which I found to be an enjoyable read, as well as more fitting with my personality.

Does anyone else feel like Mystery Method is too... structured? I mean, I'm not one to critique, but it just feels too scripted for my personal tastes.

While I've browsed a few other PUA forums, this is the first time I've actually registered or wrote a post. I'm really hoping that by doing so, I'll be able to take my game (which is pretty hit-or-miss/non-existant) to the next level. If anyone has literature they feel I should peruse, let me know! I'm here to learn!
