Post subject:  London based - here after one hell of an Xmas present

Hi all,

So it's the Tuesday before Christmas, I'm walking along the Southbank in London after finishing a meal with a good friend of mine - nice and chilled, talking about Christmas, New Years and general banter. I'm on my way home when I get a call from my girlfriend,
"Hey hun," I skip the puddles forming on the concreate
"We need to talk," I know she can get a bit dramatic, but she doesn't sound happy
"Ok"
"We can't be together anymore, I don't love you...maybe you saw this coming,"
Holy shit, this came out of nowhere. Let me set the context, this is a 4 1/2 year relationship and in my mind the woman I was going to get married to. Great Christmas present, thanks a bunch.

But I think I knew it wasn't a perfect relationship, we'd been coasting along for a year really. Our interests were different, and she was starting to become more and more like here mother - NOT a good thing!

So the more I thought about it, the more I thought, "you know what, this is a really good thing." What better excuse to go and have all that fun I've wanted, but have had to hold back on for over 4 years...well more, as before this I'd been in a 2 year relationship.

So I've made a promise to myself, I am going to enjoy being my own man and single for a good 6 months. I bought The Game (bring on the abuse about how bad it is, but at least it brought me here), and am keen to build my confidence and meet a hell of a lot of new people. I've been off the market for a while, so a hell of a lot of catching up to do, and at 26 with my hair on the retreat I can feel the clock ticking.

I love talking to people and am comfortable in my skin, I guess the bit that scares most people are the openers, and that's the same with me. Looking to learn from guys who have been playing the field for a while, and are around London.

Look forward to learning from you all,

JD

Hey JD London,

Glad to see you're taking a positive attitude to it; that's one of the important things to start with.

I don't think you'll get any abuse for reading through the Game; in a way, it brought this culture mainstream and is how a lot of guys, myself included, found out about Game. Plus Neil Strauss is a great writer on top of that, and I hope you enjoy the read.

If you know Style's story you know that hair isn't the be-all end all with women; confidence, masculine traits and sufficient Game are far more powerful than a full head of hair. Can't help you much, being in Brisbane, but there are often fraternities based on pickup that meet up, and in a big city like London you've definitely got a few hanging around somewhere. Try looking around in your area or typing "London Fraternity PUA pick up" into Google to see if there are any groups you can start out with.

Good luck, and good Game.

Hey, thanks Harkness.

Reading through people's intro's I'd agree, The Game has brought a lot of attention to the communities out there, and seems like most people have read what Style has to say. After reading a bit it was interesting to watch some clips on YouTube and put faces to the names.

Have a quick google does come up with wingmen and sarging groups in London, and Day Game seems to be big here too, although maybe more for students rather than those of us working 9-5. Thanks for the advice mate,

JD
