Hello world! So, after nearly two years of knowing about game, I finally decided to actively enter the community and take a new step in exploring this brave new world. Hence, allow me to introduce myself: I'm from Romania (Fun fact: most people think of roma people as being romanians, but really they're a minority even around here). I'm 20 y/o and I can't say I remember when I first found out about the game, but it was definately Neil Strauss that got me hooked. I've learned about pickup about 2 years ago. I've been scavanging the internets every now and then and doing my best to apply what I've learned when I'm out in town. I'm very much into VFX and animation, as well as regular filmmaking. I used to be a rollerblader, but I managed to bust my wheels and never got the time to buy a new set. I like reading a lot too, and I've been playing guitar for 1,5 years now. Video games are also a fun distraction from time to time, although much, much less than they used to be. I'm also really into psychology - it's pretty much what fueled my progress in pickup, as I was always curious "how that guy/girl would react if...". My goals, in general, are to build myself a life I can provide for myself and loved ones (family, spouse, kids AND friends are included) in such a way that each of us can do what he/she likes and, therefore, fulfill their potential as human beings. Yeah, I'm a dreamer. Still, my plan SPAM is going pretty well and I'm progressing nicely. Game-wise, my goal was to get over my timidity and introvertedness and become more assertive. I've always been kind of awkward around women, never had a real role model to look up to (parents got divorced while I was young and I stayed with mom). I figure if I start wrapping my head around pickup and ending up making it a non-issue, I'd be a better man and a step closer to my other goal. Hence, here I am, humbly asking you people to allow me to ask when I have questions and give advice when there is advice to give; not that I have much to say right now, but I'm optimistic. So hello fellow PUAs and thank you for your past and future help! |
