| Post subject: | Newbie with a problem! |
Hello to you all, I'm new to all this and am kind of glad there is help here because I need it! Basically I'm hopeless with women and would rather jump off a cliff than go up to a girl I don't know and try to hit on her! I want to change though and that's a start. Anyway my question is - where I work a new girl started a few months ago. She is gorgeous! I really like her but have never talked to her. A few times she has made eye contact with me but I just wouldn't know what to say to her. Anyway found out she doesn't like the job and she's leaving! I would be kicking myself for the rest of my life if I didn't ask her out but I just don't know what to do! I can't just walk over to her desk as it is a busy office and everyone would see. Any ideas? Thanks, |

Would you walk up to her desk if someone paid you £1,000,000? |

Thanks for the reply. Just thinking about the answer to your question gets my heart pumping! I would but I would really dread doing it though! She's stunning and when she looks at me, I feel myself crumble on the inside but I manage to hold it together. We have instant messaging in the office but I think that would not be a good way to start interacting with her as she would probably see it as weird that a guy she doesn't know is using this to introduce himself to her! |

if you saw another guy go up to her and chat with her smiling and enjoying the conversation how would that make you feel inside and how would you think of the other guy? |

Hmmmm I guess it would make me think she's friendly! I would probably be jealous of the other guy! To be honest with you, thinking about her is driving me insane. I wish I could stop. I don't understand how I can be like this when I have not even talked to her before! I have passed her in the corridor a few times where she does not make eye contact and just stares straight ahead. I really can't read women at all. This would be the ideal opportunity to stop her and introduce myself I think, but the thought of doing it gives me a real adrenaline rush! Also the possiblity of it being awkard in the office if she said "no" or "I'm not interested" isn't really a valid concern now that she's leaving! Am I making any sense?! |

Introducing yourself doesn't mean asking for a date and risking rejection. If it was a new guy you wouldn't have a problem talking to him. He who hesitates is lost with naught but a forgotten yesterday as his companion. You know when you see some random HB's going crazy about some tiny little spider and you think WTF it's only a tiny little thing. Well the HB is YOUR spider and your fear is just as irrational. The only power that approach anxiety has over you is what YOU give it. Don't give it any. |
